our WINEry
On the slolpes of Mount Etna – Europe’s most alive vulcano – we follow our passion and continue the old family tradition of growing and producing wine by using the indigenous grapes of Nerello Mascalese and Carricante. We have our wineyards in Contrada Feudo di Mezzo-Porcaria, Contrada Pontale Palino and Contrada Arena. The particular properties of the vulcanic soil, the huge thermal excursion between day and night and the unique climatic conditions on the northern slopes of the vulcano are outstanding natural ingredients for a great quality of grapes. The sun riped and hand selected grapes allow us to produce an excellent wine!
our philosophy
Our philosophy is led by love and deep respect for this unique environment. We have a strong commitment to highlight Mount Etna’s identity with its extreme climatic and morphological peculiarities by cultivating only autochtonous grape varieties and conducting all works in full respect of nature. Every wine plant expresses the potential of the territory and through careful manual cultivation, and finest sustainable workmanship, we do our best to achieve the best ripening and a high quality of grapes as fundamental basis of our wines. Attentive to the rich traditional practices, but at the same time openness to modern knowledge, we do a delicate cellar work to make our wines expressing the most natural character of our varieties in their specific terroir.
